An excellent plastic-free festive dish washing brush (untreated beechwood), with plant-based bristles (Tampico). Even more environmentally-friendly, the brush head is removable and replaceable.

This clever brush is created from sustainable and vegan natural materials. No plastic 'sticks' around forever or plastic bristles left floating in the oceans for millennia.

Tampico fibre or Mexican fibre is the yellow leaf fibre of the agave cactus, which grows only in the highlands of northern Mexico, giving Mexico a natural monopoly on the material. Following final dressing the fibre has a length of 300–500 mm and is traded as Tampico fibre, named after the port of Tampico. Nature has created a very robust fibre, resistant to acid and alkaline solutions and to heat. Good elasticity and optimum water absorption make the fibre suitable for many applications, including household brushes and robust massage and nail brushes.

All the wood used is FSC certified. The FSC label is granted to wooden products that come from responsibly managed forests or plantations – certified in accordance with the strict guidelines of the Forest Stewardship Council.

Size: Handle 20cm long, head approx 4cm diameter; total length approx 28cm

Care: Please allow the brush to dry completely in between uses.
