Christmas is coming
Halloween is around the corner and the annual Halloween Trail is making a post-pandemic come back. We would be delighted to see you on Stoke Newington Church Street for trick or treating on Sunday 31st between 3-6pm. We will have a collection box at PREP for the week running up to Halloween and we will be collecting dry goods and long life food for the "Trick or Eat" campaign run by the Local Buyers Club. Food will be donated to the London Food Banks and we would greatly appreciate your support.
We are busy stocking up for Christmas as usual but as I'm sure you're aware this Christmas is a little more challenging than normal. Reduced production due to the pandemic and lack of shipping containers coming from the Far East have resulted in high prices and limited stock. Add to that Brexit with its increased costs and longer lead times and we have a perfect storm for a tricky festive period.
We are doing everything we can to keep everything in stock but we are finding that there are inevitable gaps. Some things are not available and others have become too expensive to continue stocking. Where we can we are resourcing but that is no small task. So I would as you to be kind and understanding if you are waiting for something in particular as we are doing the best we can with the information that we have. I would also urge you to shop early and buy things when you see them as we can't guarantee that we will have stock nearer to Christmas.
Feel free to use the click and collect service if you are local and we are getting out parcels as quickly as we can for shipping but again there are courier shortages so please leave plenty of time for postage.
As always we appreciate your support and encourage you to shop local or with independents where you can.
Much love
Holly x
